They teach sign language at Carter's school. He's picked up some better than others. To our frustration, "no" seems to be one in which he is very proficient. It's my guess that he frequently sees this sign at school in response to mischief that either he or another child is involved in.Problem: It's his blanket answer to every question. And, sometimes questions not even asked get an emphatic "no" with or without the sign for extra emphasis.
Even Worse: Sitting in the living room minding your own business, he will come up and "no" (sign & speech together) right in your face (which causes Mommy's teeth to clinch & jaw to lock in frustration). I'm sure it's nothing personal, just kinda like a Magic Eight Ball stuck on an unfortunate outcome. Wish us luck for an expanding vocabulary soon.
Thanks for reading...
Ed. Note (aka Erin's): Please note that Carter is a good boy and not mean spirited. I promise to capture more footage of this evidence in the upcoming blogs, but could not resist showing you all Dr. No.

Easily my favorite post ever! Cracked me up and the perfect distraction from work. If there was a way to rate this and pass it along for others to view, I would. Great job.
Hilarious and super cute. I feel like I'm watching Sawyer. I'll have to capture one of his NO tantrums. Luckily he doesn't know the sign, just screams no in an obnoxious pig like squeal.
I watched this in the office (without sound) and cracked up. LOVE IT!
You were right Bill, this post did put a smile on my Face!!
