I was actually worried that Carter (and Owen) would miss out on the Easter Egg Hunt Season since Erin & the boys were visiting, and I hadn't really scouted the area out properly. Per usual, C made out great participating in at least three official hunts and many preparatory hunts around the house and yard in anticipation.
The first was at one of boys (future) pre-schools, which including an egg relay. I was concerned that Mom hadn't drilled him on this exercise, but C anchored his team to a strong showing. O and his little friends had a special egg hunt with cheerio filled eggs and cool chalk eggs.
We also dyed eggs and hunted for them at our blogpeeps Veggie-Bruces' place in Raleigh. The highlight for C was a plate of all his (and Mommy's) favorites: Mac N' Cheese, Asparagus, Sweet Potatoes, & Corn. He was so stuffed that he didn't even ask for a dessert. Owen enjoyed the Sweet Potatoes and the life changing "baby/mini" goldfish. We've gone through several bags since Easter weekend. My highlight was definitely the "Mommy Easter Egg Hunt". The kiddos hid their eggs and then cheered on the Mommies. There was definitely running (not Ms. Schwangston though), but no elbows or pushing only b/c they didn't want to be a bad influence for the kids.

Finally after the most crowded church service (we sat outside on the lawn with another 80 people and were even 30 min early), Carter had a solo hunt with Mrs. J, my NC landlord and becoming a #1 fan of Carter. She and two neighbor girls decorated some eggs for us earlier in the week. Mrs. J and her grown daughter enjoyed hiding them as much as C enjoyed finding them.
I hope you enjoyed the Easter weekend as much as I did with your family and friends.
Thanks for reading...
