At 22 months, Owen is very verbal these days - asking 'What's that?" a billion times a day while repeating and mimicking sounds all around him. We're working on phrases and putting words together. After her two full days with him, retired Speech Therapist Pat estimated that O knows a few hundred words. And Carter, of course, enjoys playing big brother and teaching Owen words and how to spell ("B" is for Brother).
This afternoon, we were snuggling on the couch post nap in a quiet house since dad and bro were at a birthday party. I decided to teach O to say "I love you."

O - IIIII...
me - say Love
O - Love
me - say You
O - Mommyyyyy!!!
