First day in the outside world...

So, we're free.

Carter, Erin & myself broke out of the hospital today. After 3.5 days of tests, shots, weigh-ins, sketchy hospital food, more check ups, and very little sleep, the Schwangston family was ready to see what the outside world had to offer. Overall, though, the stay was great. The nurses took excellent care of Erin and Carter and her OB really came through for us as well.

With the car seat installed and Carter dressed in his first non-hospital issued outfit, we ventured home. So far, life at home is working out. Carter is resting comfortably and, hopefully, his parents will follow.

Thanks for all well wishes and for reading...

Welcome to the world Baby Carter!!!!! We can't wait to see you! Erin and Bill, be sure to let us know if you need anything.

Sending you our love!
Stan, Jessica and Baby Dean

P.S. - Stan wonders who will win the Tour, Carter or Dean? Just kidding! Well, actually I think Stan has his heart on Dean being a cyclist as well...so Carter, get your lungs and legs ready!

Great pics and congratulations. He is adorable! Don't worry about the lack of sleep right now. It really does get better I promise. I remember Meg told us that when Zoe was first born. I thought she was crazy but I kept remembering/hoping "It does get better..."

And it did. You guys are going to be awesome parents. Congrats again!
