This post is long overdue...I've just been laboring over what to say (ok, terrible joke but I am my father's daughter and couldn't resist). We decided last minute to hit the rode. It ended up being a nice long weekend in G'town over Labor Day to visit friends/family and say goodbye to 2108 Kimbrough Woods. It's officially the end of an era (another post for another day) since Dad & Lisa are MN bound next week.
We enjoyed a BBQ at the Jackson's - C loved to scare the beejezus out of Bill and me near that pool with his lack of water fear despite having non-existent swimming skills. Always good to see the boys, JJ, Nancy and Rudy.

Jules, Bryce and Kate made the trek east to the house, though Carter has a bit less than chivalrous with sweet Kate. Hopefully, he will behave a bit better next time we get together.
Thanks too to Manders for meeting us for a drink after your trip to NYC.
Of course, we had to get in a few Memphis traditions. Surprise of the weekend was seeing the Wilson's on the Peabody rooftop and how much C LOVED the ducks.
No horse ride for C, but he enjoyed petting the horse thanks to a lift from Grandpa.
Thanks to Dad and Lisa for letting us crash your cleaning out/packing weekend with one last trip home. Thanks too to C for being near perfect in the car (despite the joy filled pic in hour 6.2 below). Makes me revisit the plane vs. drive debate for the Nashville Christmas trip.
More on the move coming 9/30/09. ~Erin

Carter looks like he's ready to pounce on the ducks!
