We are going on six consecutive days of rain here in Texas. This might not be a big deal in other parts of the country, but we have five sunny days a week on average, so a week of rain leaves the city grumpy and ready to build an ark.

One person that doesn't seem to mind it is Carter. He is enraptured by the rain. I'm guessing because of the novelty of it. We have been watching it through the windows, screen doors, and when it isn't a deluge, going for a stroll. Splashing in puddles is a skill that he is showing amazing proficiency in, and he is getting wiser about getting splashed by Dad. He loves to rock the umbrella like he was Mary Poppins (see right for him yelling @ the wind for messing up his game), but I'm sure he'd trade it for some quality time at the playground.
Who knows what he'll do for a few days of snow??
Thanks for reading...

Props to the Scwangstons for having a Commercial Appeal umbrella in Dallas. And props to Carter telling the wind to back off!
Schwie reps her town. Maybe one day she'll do a blog about her visit.
All kids love the snow. All parents hate the snow...take it from a life long Michigander, except for that one year in HELL otherwise knows as Ft Myers. I'd still take the snow over that place.
was it actually raining when you took those pics? Nonetheless, Carter looks adorable
Yes it was raining - lightly, but raining nonetheless.
