Mountain men

This year, we moved our annual boys' trip from Summer to Winter b/c of a couple upcoming "additions" that would not allow us to get away. We settled on heading for the mountains to hit the slopes.

We went to Jackson Hole, WY, and where the mountains (Grand Tetons) always impress. This year Steve Kennedy (one of the original four) wasn't able to make it due to "Snowmageddon" (local news title for the storm) that kept him in Philly. Kevin Jones (ski bum posing as a lawyer) did make the trip, and we were glad to have him along.

The weather was awesome. Reed learned to snowboard @ JH, which will be like telling people that he learned to climb mountains on K2 or Everest. I interviewed several of my chairlift companions to find out that although 3 years is common, 4-5 is the best time to put the kiddos on the hill. Carter James is officially on the clock.

A quick montage of the action on the mountain below.

A key to the video nicknames:

Mark/Tweeter: Mark has quickly become a big Twitter guy and was on it on the slopes, bar, driving, at the house, etc. My prediction is that his interest will last less that 140 characters.

Kevin/Paisley: Kevin had a couple of Paisley-esque shirts that he wore out each night. I made fun of both shirts at every opportunity only to find out that a large portion of the female population in the WY area thought the shirts, and Kevin, were adorable. My prediction is as I'm writing this, Reed has already bought 3 Paisley shirts.

Bill/We Can Walk: I made a mistake the first night, after leaving one bar downtown, thinking we could walk 2-3 blocks to another. We got lost, wandered for at least 30 min in sub-freezing weather (without proper jackets, gloves, etc). Quickly we were trying to figure out who we'd eat first to survive. This happened at least 3 more times on the trip. My hope of reducing the carbon footprint from our Escalade rental nearly killed us.

Reed/Skinny Jeans: Reed was taking up snowboarding for the first time and didn't have the gear (jacket, pants, gloves, goggles, etc) needed to hit the slopes. I brought some extra to outfit him. Unfortunately, the pants didn't quite fit his "assets". His pants didn't get the same attention that the Paisley shirts did so, after a day on the slopes, Reed decided to purchase some pants that completely unzip on the outside of each leg. Not sure of the functionality of that, but his snowboarding improved significantly.

Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for reading...

Great video and great job editing. I'm just a little disappointed that you didn't post any of the footage me catching mad air on the terrain park. Guess you've got to leave the viewers wanting more.
