Santa's elves had a late night of setting up Geotrax - so many tracks that it looped the Christmas tree twice. Bill has the patience of a saint when it comes to these things and the ability to produce yet another AAA battery for the battery-powered trains and controllers. The display was quite impressive before Carter (and Owen) got ahold of it.
Christmas excitement was overflowing that we almost had a really early morning at 4:30am. Carter's attempt to make it "wake up" time was swiflty denied. Not gonna happen. His second attempt at 6:15am was successful.
It took C a minute to take it all in and then he quickly jumped right in...and literally played with them ALL day long. When asked him who brought all the trains to him, he quickly answered Aunt Katie before Santa Claus was gently prodded out of him. That's probably the first and last time that C will confuse Aunt Katie's magic with Santa.
We had to coax away from the trains to eat breakfast and open up his other presents.
Owen enjoyed attempt to teethe on the wrapping paper more than his new presents (of course). He made new strides with his crawling (video coming soon) when scooting across the floor to snag a train off the tracks to brother's dismay.
After the morning's festivities, we all managed to settle down for a long, much-needed, winter naps. And, we capped the day off with mine and Carter's favorite holiday tradition - driving around and looking at Christmas nights while listening to holiday tunes.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

We got Sawyer some Geo Trax stuff too. He loves it, trains and airport. It's taking over the house. We had to take a trip to IKEA today to buy some more storage stuff!
LOVE IT! I'm sure as long as Uncle Dan is with Disney Aunt Katie will always be associated with magic! Can't wait to see you soon.
