I haven't given an update on Owen in a while so here goes. The O-Joe, as he's known in our house, is a force. As the little brother, he doesn't seem to act like it much. He is just as daring as his bigger brother and maybe more. He has discovered his love for jumping off of everything...steps, chairs, playground equipment, and does so with such a frequency he may be part kangaroo.
Owen also has a love of digging, especially at the beach. I don't know if he remembers the water, or waves, but he knows all about the sand. When we went to the beach for the first time this summer he immediately got to "work" as he called it. Procuring tools from other children and digging hole after hole, sandboxes across NC have been put on notice.
As Owen is becoming a big boy and developing his own unique personality to match. He has one volume- loud. He is often competing to be the loudest kid in church, the restaurant, our house, or the car. Recently in church as we were getting ready to go up for communion I was reassuring him to be a good boy, and he responded, "no daddy- I'M A GOOD BIKE RIDER!" So loud that it echoed. That is the O-Joe for you.
A update on Owen wouldn't be complete without mentioning his hair. His mop is somewhat of an enigma in our house. Curlier in the summer, shaggy in the winter we can't seem to go "high & tight" like Carter, and like Sansom he seems to draw his strength from his locks. So to date we've had several "Mommy-Trims", and one official big kid cut. No official stance on the hair has been made. Stay Tuned.

He definitely adds to the Schwangston dynamic in a big way, and now that he can mix it up with his big brother I'm sure they'll provide many interesting blogs in the future.
Thanks for reading...
