halloween...

Last year with the new house and new schools for the kiddos, Halloween caught us off guard.  Coupled with bad weather, it was just ok, but not up to the typical Schwangston standard.  As one of my favorite holidays, I definitely wanted to get back on track this year.

We started a little earlier with getting the pumpkins for the porch early Oct, and even carved them on 10/30 (a new Schwangston PR as I'm normally whittling them while the first "treaters" show up!). Finally we picked up costumes that the kiddos changed their minds on about 3-4x, but it worked in the end.

This was Owen's first legit trick or treating, and he adapted very quickly.  We rolled deep with a crew of neighbors including about 8 toddlers and cleaned up in our neighborhood.  Carter stayed out for another quick loop while O enjoyed handing out a few goodies to the late Treaters.

I couldn't get the Mrs. to dress up but that leaves room for improvement next year.  Hope you had more treats that tricks!

Thanks for reading...

Love it, your pumpkin carving is next level!! Can Olive be in a Schwangston video, maybe during Super Thanksgiving?
