Rolling!

Okay, as promised, here's the video update of Carter's newly developed agility. That's right - last week he rolled over! At first we thought it was a fluke, so we gave him a few chances to prove to us that he's no joke. Nana Lisa witnessed the rolling too. I took some video of a couple instances - sorry if the quality isn't top notch, but I feel like we make up for it with flash. Please enjoy.

On another note, I'm looking for some Thanksgiving veggie recipes. We're the host-city this year for the Schwie's and we'd like to "bring it". Green bean casserole is great, but it's been done. If you have a winner, please post in the comments or email us (really just me - you know Erin still does not really cook, at all).

Thanks for reading...

YAY! Carter is turning over! What a champ! That is one smart boy!

Ok, I have a recipe since I do all the cooking and Stan knows how to open jars. It's a veggie recipe too and a casserole. Squash/Zucchini Casserole. Let me know if you are interested and I'll e-mail you the recipe.

Sending you, Erin and Carter lots of love!

I'm impressed! Rolling over at 5 weeks old? That's incredible. I'm glad you three are doing well. Joy, Drew and I are happy for you guys (and gal).

Hi, I'm Kristen's friend and neighbor and since I just happen to be making a green bean recipe to take to Thanksgiving, I thought I would share. It's very fresh and not the old casseroll at all!
Greenbean and Feta Salad

2 pounds green beans, trimmed
Coarse salt and ground pepper
1/3 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons white-wine vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 cups quartered cherry tomatoes
1/2 cup sliced scallions
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
Directions
Cook beans in a large pot of boiling salted water until crisp-tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Drain in a colander; run under cold water to stop cooking.
Whisk oil with vinegar and mustard; season with salt and pepper.
Toss beans with vinaigrette, tomatoes, scallions, and feta.

It's from everydayfoodmag.com if you ever need any other good recipes.
P.s. Your baby is adorable!

Love the audio portion of the video! Can't wait to see him in action!!

Bill - There is a zucchini casserole in the cookbook I gave Erin a few years ago (ha ha, funny gift I know). It was our mom's from our church in Wisconsin and the cover says "Garden of Eating" Its quite tasty.

Wow, what talent! Can't wait to get back to school and show my school friends my talented grandson.

Bill, you are being awarded the Langston Oscar. It is a little known Langston legacy, but I can see that your talent deserve it. All other candidates will have to wait for next year and only hope for their chance to take it home in the future.

Kat, has become my friend with her comment about granny and grandma. They do seem fitting names for 96 year olds in my book also. In search of the perfect name to be used by the perfect grandson.....

Love, Mom

What a talented kid. You'll need to childproof the house soon, clearly he's advanced.

Loved the editing!

What a production! Who knew he could get down like that? It's almost as if I were back at the Big Orange Bash. No good veggie recipes here but I did just make an eggplant pasta pie that was better than I deserved / expected. Happy Thanksgiving!
