Halloween Recap

In the rush of carving pumpkins, handing out/eating candy, and enjoying the Halloween atmosphere, November got to us before we were able to assemble the recap of the Halloween excitement.

We got a big bump in trick or treaters over last year's dissappointing turnout. We carved a bunch of pumpkins again this year - no stiches or first aid required. In a rare occurance, Mrs. Schwangston used the oven to roast her pumpkin seeds (her specialty). Despite the tough economic times, we still rolled out the full size candy bars for the first 30 kiddos - you don't mess with tradition.

Carter had a blast with the pumpkins, whether he was trying to pick them up or eat them (they count as a vegetable, right?). His monkey costume received many compliments (thanks K10) from all.

Enjoy the recap, and thanks for reading...

What a video, then there were the great excellent Langston carved pumpkins. Carter, of course was the best subject. He looked like he was taking it all in and enjoying every minute of the evening. Bill, I think your first choice of careers would have been successful, also! I will leave you to remember what that choice was.

I am afraid you two are too crafty for your own good. You've got to save some of your fancy pumpkin carving skills for later, so when Carter is 13 he still thinks you are slightly cool. Wait, is pumpkin carving cool in middle school?
