Biggest Loser

Long overdue post.

Carter's 2 year check up went just fine. Developmentally, everything is great. His growth is on track - still about 25% percentile in both height (almost 33 inches) and weight (just under 25 lbs). Instead of eating heartily at meal and snack times, he has decided to pursue a different tactic. But let me digress for a minute or five...

Bill and I have recently started watching parts of the Biggest Loser on Tuesday nights. We are not big reality TV folks and somehow managed to miss the first 7 seasons. It is fascinating, emotional TV. Wow. It's crazy how quickly you get hooked. Some big guys lose double digits EVERY week like my favorite Danny. I swear that I almost cried tonight when Rudy hit the 100 lb weight loss in record time - so proud. Yep, the tears came when poor Abby sacrificed herself over darned Daniel who so deserves to be booted off. And man is that trainer Jillian a big ole meanie with awkward transitions to caring, tough love chats - no wonder she is getting her own show. Did I mention that it's like crack (not an annoying Shay reference) - it's addictive TV.

Back on track here. Imagine if you could gain and lose weight with the ease that C shows below. Behold, the very fun stuff-your-shirt-with-everything-in-site weight gain technique (not to be confused with C's almost daily peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches) as well as the stand-up-and-poof!-it's-all-gone weight loss skill. If only we could patent that magic poof!

Ohh, the Biggest Loser is good. I haven't watched it this year but I've been roped-in previous years. Honestly reminds me that anyone can do anything if they have the right support, dedication, determination, effort, and will power.

FYI - I was in the 90th "growth" percentile in kindergarten. I now stand at a towering 5'9".
