- Kaydence Birthday Party at the Children's Museum of Houston. I haven't been to many of these (really just Ft.Worth and this one), but it was awesome. These museums crush what I remember our museums as a kid. Water Exhibits, Puzzles, Light Shows, Police/Ambulance Car Mock-ups, & a Four Story Jungle Gym Climbing net. I thought we'd only spend a couple hours, but we ended up being there 3hr+ (hence the parking ticket that was waiting for us outside).
- Hanging with the Hedgepeth Boys. It has been too long since we've seen them, and they are giant. Carter enjoyed playing with Jake's big kid toys and Tyler's train table.
- Playing outside, Playgrounds, and Chase (Carter's still favorite game) w/Tyler, and also watching T work his Diego game on the computer. I'm sure that T is better at the computer than all of the grandparents at age 4.
- Owen enjoyed being off Carter's radar for a couple days. He managed to show off his skills of being tranquilo and easy going.
- Finally a highlight of mine was finishing my 1st CycloCross race of the year. With little training, sleep, poor nutrition, and all around so-so fitness, I managed 9th in a field of 30+. It was pure suffering for 40min., but I'm going to try to eat better, sleep (please, Owen?) better, and improve on this result in the races to come.
We're spending Halloween at home, and it is going to be strange to not pack up the car this weekend, but we'll try to adjust.
Thanks for reading...
