Owen - O - Oie - Oster woester - Ojo

Notice the O? He snatched that cupcake before anyone could bat an eye.

It's been a while, so here is an update on ole Owen. His personality (willful but also chill like Bill) is really starting to show.  As C is quick to say, O is not a baby but not a BIG boy either.  Definitely a toddler on the move!

From his 15 month check up on Thursday, his stats: weight 20.7lbs, 5th percentile; height 29.5 inches, 10th percentile; head 75th percentile. Like his bigger brother, birthed/came out big but grows proportionally lean while stay on the bottom of the growth curve.  But I tell you, he is a solid 20 lber.  

First word - mama.  Also can say dada, bye, hi, uh oh and a version of brother for Carter.  

Owen is a pretty good eater and sleeper (knock on wood).  He is getting the hang of spoons and forks (straws too).  O has about 8 teeth now and the latest ones are very painful without an easy remedy.  Any suggestions, readers?  I've tried ibuprofen, teething tablets, cold things, plastic teethers, etc.  

One of his most noticeable characteristics is his hair. It's still red and curly like his Grammy.  We haven't cut it yet.  When it's humid here, he has major ringlets and it gets pretty short.  When it's dirty or limp, it can get pretty long and scraggly.  We are at a loss in how to cut it, so I imagine that we'll be consulting a pro vs. Dad's shears (like C). Random thoughts: O looks more like Bill as he gets older. He loves to eat, kick soccer balls, mimic golfing, reading touch/feel books, being tickled and climbing. He dislikes having his face (nose esp.) cleaned and being tied down.  

It's been really awesome watching Owen and Carter better interact/play and love each other...as Carter says, they are best friends indeed.
