So one of the best features of our new place is the screened in porch. It is probably 25x30'. HUGE. So big that we've started playing baseball with C up there. It started with the tee ball, but we were having a hard time with it, so I thought he should get some pitches.
I don't want to call any scouts or anything, but the way he connects with the ball is impressive. Even more so since I never made it out of T-Ball and was historically a 5-6th pick at best for gym class baseball. He is obviously the beneficiary of some strong Schwie baseball/softball genes, so we'll see how this goes.
Doh!
Another great feature of the screened in porch is the boys can play out there while dinner is prepped. So I was cooking and turned around to the fridge and BAM! That is right. Carter James connected on a pitch and broke the only window on the porch. He was very, very sorry, but we couldn't help but be proud, and laugh b/c it is cold and now we have a big hole in the window. (the error was charged to the pitcher who had him batting toward the house = bad choice).

Thanks for reading...Bill
