Yesss!!!!!

Our first real date with a paid babysitter was tonight. Babysitters are like stock trade secrets here in CH - no one wants to give them up.

My babysitter in training: Carter is so well-behaved!?! He's just so good!
Me: thank you. It means a lot. we've worked hard to be consistent.

C has a fever and the "red cheeks" of death - ie, nasty bug is coming.
C @ 10.45pm: Mom? I love you
Me: I love you the more than...trees in this neighborhood.
C: I love you more than a STADIUM!
Me: you are a smart, good boy. Good night and stay in bed.

{updated at 1am - 5:45am Sunday morning just to add that he is in fact sick with a bug - fever and puking can be yours all night long!}

We've gone to 2 baseball games in a week - UNC vs BC last week (C and I solo) and then the whole fam + Beaty/Dickerson clan at UNC vs Duke at Durham Bulls stadium in downtown Durham last night. Stadiums are so big to C, like his love for me apparently :).

It's both hard and so very awesome to be a mommy :)
