For the three readers that have been inquiring about my cycling season, here's the early spring update. Training has been sporadic at best, somewhat related to our little guy's sleep patterns. I did get a decent amount of training this winter using my new state of the art "office closet training facility". The new addition to our Schwangston Family this fall required a relocation from my previous indoor training setup.
Two weeks ago, I started my first road race of the season. Not knowing what to expect given my training and limited intensity, I managed to finish 2nd overall. I narrowly missed the win - if only tactics had played out differently. It should be noted that the winner did not wake up at 3AM to feed his baby the night before the race, not that it should be required. I am super excited and pleasantly surprised by my fitness so far and hope that a good season solid results awaits.
Please take a look at the video below and pass it along to others. The guy riding on the side of the road could be lil' C's old man.
Thanks for reading...

The American version of that video has a gorilla in it, I saw it during a leadership presentation last fall. Of course, I was too busy counting passes to actually see the gorilla so I failed miserably.
BUT, I always look out for cyclists on the road! Keep riding, good luck with your races, and stay safe.
Cool video. I also failed the test! Good luck with your upcoming races! You're the man!
love the video!!! I am much more aware of those troublesome cyclists now that my brother has joined the cult!!! I think I just saw a sign that said there is a three foot passing rule??

Is there anything you don't do, Bill?
I love hearing about the Schwangston's and seeing pictures of cute little Carter. Any new update on crawling? And Bill, congrats on your race - and best wishes this season!
