Schwangston Holiday Traditions

So it is the most wonderful time of the year. The Schwangstons celebrate with lots of the "go to" traditions, and some that are unique to us.

Tree: We were undecided on what to do  this year. C is a very curious and able child, and can wreak havoc on any target that he focuses on. Barriers were discussed, but it seems C has declared a cease fire, and only rearranges the ornaments and a few light strands.

Lights: Thanks for those who voted, we were house B! I was hoping my neighbor would add more and then I could do the same. He didn't, and Mrs. Schwangston said "no" to the other part.

Christmas cookies: We give out cookies to neighbors, co-workers, etc. We started making them about a week ago. We had Peppermint Bark, Peanut & Pretzel Bark, Snickerdoodles, Peanut Butter Kisses, Peanut Butter Cups, Pumpkin Spice (thanks KT), and the always classic Christmas Cut-Out Sugar Cookies. All together probably 14-15 dozen. Lots of cookies.

-Schwangston Bowl: The holiday season coincides the growing College Football Bowl Season. Until Obama creates a playoff, we alternate picking bowl games (34 this year?!?) and keep score. The prize this year is a 10 min massage from the loser each week of the year, and your name on the coveted "Schwangston Bowl".

We hope Santa gets you everything you want this year, and have a safe and happy holiday season.

Thanks for reading...
