A funny thing happened on the way to the doctor's office. Driving to Fort Worth, Ms. Schwangston and I were discussing the sex of our 2nd addition. Something unfathomable occurred. I reiterated that I could wait on learning the sex, and we brainstormed a couple scenarios where I wouldn't learn the sex, and she would. None of these were seemed right, so I told her that she couldn't find out period. I was putting my foot down, the end, no more discussion...
O-V-E-R!
Not buying it? Seriously, I didn't like the idea of the Ms. knowing, scheming, etc. while I was in the dark. I offered a compromise of discussing the names of both sexes. Before we finished the 25min drive, we agreed to keep it a mystery!! That's right! The girl that opened all of her presents one Christmas early is voluntarily staying in the dark. I'd like to take more credit for this "epiphany of patience," but I think C has probably taught her more patience that I could attempt to coach/persuade.
Ms. Schwangston aka "Strategmo" aka "Plan-a-saurus-Rex" asked the Sonogram Tech to put the sex in a envelope in case she decides to change her mind tonight (who is this Woman?). Still I didn't think she'd make it, but on the ride home she seemed to anchor herself, and we are firmly staying out of the loop on the sex of #2.
As I'm writing this, I've been given a go on destroying the envelope and keeping this little person a big surprise for us this summer.

Sorry to you that we may have amped up early (maybe the poll was premature), but I'm sure you can understand. If Schwie can wait, so can you. As a small conciliation the due date is moving up due to baby measurements on the ultrasound, and her window is May 30 - June 11th. The baby is big/healthy, so we are going with earlier over later.
Thanks for reading...

You know how I feel about this...arggg!!! All I need is the phone # of the OB, I promise I can keep a secret. I just really don't like shopping for yellow and green. You guys are killing me :)
Good for you guys. I can't believe Erin went along with it, but I'm happy she did.
I think Dooley is a name that could be both a boy or a girl. Just something to think about.
