We had a blast in FL over the MLK long weekend. It was both busy and as restful as a trip can be. Katie, Dan, and Bill did their best to let me get extra rest in between visits to the parks of Walt Disney World. Our first pic just a few hours after landing in MCO...
C enjoyed many of the little playgrounds and this water fountain with Aunt KT.
While we feared C might be scared of characters, he quickly warmed up after a tentative hug and high 5 to Mickey. For Minnie, he even leaned in to kiss her cheek, without any prompting.
Animal Kingdom was a big hit. C, Bill, and Dan enjoyed the bumpy Safari. C's favorite animal was the CHEETAH, which was exclaimed as loudly as those all CAPS indicate.
C loved the carousel and enjoyed waving at his people almost as much.
Carter was able to see the incredible SpectroMagic Parade since it was an earlier viewing...while the extra cold front left FL, it still was pretty cool.
He also got to see the nightly Magic Kingdom fireworks. Uncle Dan held C for the entire show with a rapt kiddo still in his arms. As so you can see, C sported his dino jammies to ease the sleepy transition back to the Perrine home.
All in all, a great trip! For a kiddo who does not watch the Disney channel or movies yet, he was a quick study under Uncle Dan's tuteledge. C's refrain during and since the trip became "I wanna Mickie Mouse."
We were able to see my extended family too...a few more posts coming. ~Erin
