We (me) are the Champion! AGAIN!! I know I should be humble and a good winner, but it really isn't what we are about. To all those that voted against me in the poll, where is the love? I will say it was a very close match-up this year (19-17) and came down to the wire, but Mrs. Schwangston fell to the might of my football bowl picking skills.
At times it was a battle of who couldn't miss more games, where the winner only went 9-6 in picks. The SEC let us both down (USC, LSU, and UT went down, and AU & ARK looked very shaky) this year, but it seems that the top of the conference is still better than the rest (although I was hoping they'd drop the Gatorade bucket on Saban, vs. dumping it). I'm just hoping that my VOLS will be back up there in the near future. Still hoping for a playoff one day and will gladly change up the Schwangston Bowl format to work it in (C'mon a +1 please?).
The spoils this year besides my name on the bowl for 2009, and this obnoxious blog is the beginning of a new era. Mrs. Schwangston is going to start cooking a new meal each month and make it a second time (repetition being the best way to learn). Please send her good, basic ideas, and words of support. The Schwangston men really want this to go beyond a one year bet, and hope this will be the turning over a new leaf. These meals are not from scratch, just not from Jason Deli or Pei Wei. We'll keep you posted on the progress.
