Last Saturday was so full of major activities that it was almost more than Carter could handle. After his actual bday cake family party, it was time for the sports themed bounce house bash to celebrate Matthew's 4th party with all of his school and family friends, and his uncle Bill who scheduled a trip home to attend the big event.
He had the most ginormous bounce house that Carter hung out in all party. It had a basketball goal, obstacle course, and slide inside of it. Our white boy can jump - check out his air in the pic below.
Of course, C took a break to support the cake and candles part of the party. I love how he claps for his cousin in this pic.
The TX heat was in full force and Amy's idea of water guns was classic and appreciated (as well as the gatorade cooler consumed by both big and little ones). Matthew rolled double-fisted.
And the pinata was enjoyed by all - that basketball held a ton of candy. C stepped up to his first swing ever like a pro, though one of the bigger boys ended up breaking it open.
After all the sports festivus at the bday party, we headed to Thomas the Train event in Grapevine with our friends Will and Heather. C fought the much needed nap, but thankfully caught a 15 minute power nap en route to the train station. There were lots of activities at the event, including a petting zoo, much smaller bounce houses, and temporary tattoos (that finally came off today after a good, final scrub in the tub). The train ride itself is not that exciting - a 15-20 minute ride abut 1/4 mile towards the airport and back. Carter kept asking if we were going to go through a tunnel while trying to fall out the window. Bill and Owen stayed back at the depot and got some good pics like this one.
Needless to say, we all slept well after such a big day!
