Grandpa the great

A few weeks ago, O and I flew to NC for an interview. I was not interested traveling with both kiddos for such a quick trip, especially since we all head back tomorrow.  So, I flew in Grandpa to hang with C.  Happily, they both had a great time.
Gisa already had a business trip planned for this past Friday.  Grandpa decided to tag along since the last trip was Owen's baptism in Nov.  Of course, I called with my plea for help shortly after that ticket was bought.  So it was back to back weeks of Grandpa - C understandably keeps asking about the next visit to hang with them (in June in NC).
We celebrated Dad's birthday a few days early with some carrot cupcakes that we made on Friday afternoon.  I really had to use my ninja negotiating skills to swap C's lemon cake box with carrot cake ("but Grandpa really likes this [florescent] yellow cake - he told me!").  The three candles meant that C, Matthew and Dad could each blow one out. Unfortunately, I missed that exact kodak moment - sorry.
C did breathe a sigh of relief when they left for the airport/MN on Sunday w/o me.
Thanks again Dad for helping out and enjoy your birthday. We love you!!
