Just a lil holiday recap:
- Our baby was just an angel at the service on Christmas Eve. Carter slept, woke up for a bottle, and slept some more. He even was given a special blessing when we went up for communion.
- As you can see above, Carter must have been a very good boy in 2007. At 2.5 months, he received 1-2 presents for each week that he has been alive from his very kind and generous relatives and friends. Christmas is officially about the kid, not us, anymore.
- No major Carter updates except that we think he grew a bunch this week - he seems longer, stronger (great head control) and his movements are smoother. Bill thinks his eyes are turning darker/browner (from a gray/blue like his) but it may be too soo
n to tell. - Our good friends from UT, Melissa, Chris and little Lucy, were in town to visit MJF's parents. Lucy is a precious mini-me of Melissa - it's crazy how much they look alike.
- We've finally hired a nanny (Emily) to watch Carter. I am not going back part-time any longer since I got a promotion during my leave. My new job is Assistant Director over budget for the IT department at the City. I am very excited and a bit nervous about this new opportunity.
- And, we are looking forward to seeing Grandma Pat when she comes for a quick visit on Wed.

So cute! I can't wait to meet him. Glad he had a great first Christmas! You are so right...your holidays (and every other day) now completely revolve around him!

If Carter got that many presents for 2.5 months of behavior, what's he going to get for a full year?!?! Congrats on the promotion, Schwie! How many people get a promotion while they're on leave?! They must really love you.
