Carter has been relatively injury free (knocking on wood while typing) for most of his 19+mo in the world. But the no-hitter is over. He's earned his first skinned knee, which is like the official tough guy tattoo of toddler-world.
While darting across the couldesac, his legs got caught, then he stumbled and went down. I'm not sure if he is just brave, or too busy (very likely) for tears, but other than an "Uh-Oh", and brushing himself off, he was undeterred. I wasn't sure he scraped his knees until we finally slowed him down in the yard.
Another first for Carter, and Mommy is just fine waiting on the ER trip until much, much, later.

5/31-Editor's Note: Since this post Carter has managed to skin the same knee(right) 2x in 2 days. Results: just bought some kiddo bandaids, and he will wear pants in 90 degree heat.

Way to go Carter! Brooks would give you a high five if he could. What a big boy! The first of many, many, many skinned knees to come!
