O's Getting Bigger

Owen had his 9 month check up yesterday. Besides a growing ear infection with $60 antibiotics (his last round of amox. did not work), he is doing great.  Carter's way of acknowledging Owen's growth is by happily proclaiming - "he's getting bigger!"  - while using one of his frequently changing nicknames like O, O-ster, brother, my baby, Coco, Coconut, Little Fella, Owie ,etc.
Developmentally, he is staying the course in the lightweight class of 10th percentile in height and weight.  Physically, he is a heavyweight with crawling at lightening speeds, standing up by himself, easily cruising along and tentatively taking some independent steps away from the couch.  Verbally, he has the "dada" down, high pitched screeching, and lots of other random gibberish, which C loves to interpret.  Thinks learning "mama" is really funny and only gives me giggles in response.
What else?   He has his bottom two teeth and lots of drool.  His hair is longer, auburn, and curly.   He loves to rub his head and play with his curls.  It's pretty cute.  Eyes are still turning brown.  He's a pretty good eater and still not a good night time sleeper. Working on drinking out of cups and clapping.
O's favorite things (sorry, no freebies like Oprah):  His brother.  His brother's toys. Smiling. Mostly  enjoys wrestling and tickling and climbing (seriously). Swinging.  Prefers to eat over read books.  Sweet potato puffs and yogurt.  Loves the bathroom - both playing in the toilet (gross and dangerous, I know), bath time, and that darned toilet paper roll obsession.
Overall, a pretty chill, happy boy...now, if he could just be a better sleeper :)
