Fire and Rain

I've seen "fire" and rain tonight. Some bug hit C midday Sunday. After his nap, he woke up a bit red cheeked, but I just thought it was his sleeping in too warm clothes. He seemed to perk up when we went to play at the Collums, but started to slow way down into sad eyes/lethargic kiddo after barely eating dinner. He never touched his fresh out of the oven choc chip cookie from Aunt Amy - a sign that all was not well in the world of C.

We left, I carried him inside, and he was asleep in bed by 6:45. Woke up drenched in sweat and a holler at me that I forgot to give him medicine. He asked me about the "fire". I don't know if he dreamed it or just felt like he was on fire because of his fever - he was burning up. First jammies change.

Woke up again at 10 something to tell me the "fire" was gone and that he was wet. The fever apparently broke, and he was really drenched again. Second jammies change and a new blankie. Who won best actor or picture?

Then a thunderstorm hit that was "scary".

Then Owie got up again.

Then C woke up to tell me he was tired, which apparently meant throw up was coming. No we didn't make it to a toilet. Third jammies change and a whole set of sheets. By the way, can you tell him what was in his "spits" and why it tasted so yucky?

So I am now about to go to sleep (on his couch) for the first time tonight, knowing that 6am is going to come too soon. I am praying for no more Jammie changes, no more fire, nor rain. C is trying to fall asleep too (though very interested in what I am typing on my iPhone) - he just randomly sang me a lullaby when I told him it's time for bed.
