Daddy is in Carolina...

Yes, that is right. I've been in NC for about 3.5 weeks now. My lovely wife, mother of my children, has done a good job of documenting the ups, & downs of single parenting while trying to sell a house so... I thought I'd check in.

Things aren't as exciting, and I'm starting to remember how great regular sleep patterns are. I've been on the road quite a bit learning my new territory, meeting customers, and getting the hang of things. One of the many benefits of my territory is that I'm right in the middle of serious BBQ territory.

North Carolina is known for it's pulled pork BBQ (w/vineager based sauce-sooo good), and since I've returned I've made it a priority to visit as many BBQ spots as possible. I've even found a Historic BBQ Trail that identifies ~20-24 noteworthy pits in NC to check out. So far I've punched my BBQ passport in 3 of them, and another 4-5 uncharted locales across this great state. I had to scale back my consumption because I was on my way to resembling the pigs I was eating.

Other than the fine dining I've been riding the quiet rolling roads here outside of Chapel Hill, and scouting the area for the new home of the Schwangstons. We're going to start our search later this weekend so wish us luck there.

If you find yourself in the RTP area around lunchtime give me a call, chances are I'll be able to find a good spot...

Thanks for reading...
