I don't get religious or political here purposely.
However, I am feeling guided to write this post (and a few others) during Lent. Thought about (and quickly dismissed) the chocolate and nail biting "go to"s. See, my original Lent thing was to read a daily devotion/say a centering prayer each morning before the boys awoke and to work on my posture. I do not read/write a daily devotion/prayer each morning per se, but tend to have smaller moments throughout the day instead (often asking and thanking for extra patience with my negotiator/lawyer-in-training Carter).

I think that Someone else had a different plan for me this Lenten season. I have been struggling how to meaningfully pray, in part because this controlling planner has been struggling with the unknowns of this move, job search, house selling and buying stuff. Last week at church, I attended the adult forum and an awesome outside pastor just happened to teach how to pray (email/comment if you want more info), with simple examples and worksheet/exercises. It was perfect timing and a pretty obvious nudge to do something.

So, you will see a few more religious/spiritual/out of character blogs from me this Lenten season. If it makes you uncomfortable, feel free to skip the blogs (but I would also say that being uncomfortable or out of your comfort zone can be a good thing).
How are you celebrating Lent this Easter?
