Tobacco, Pizza, and Cupcake = Carolina Cumpleanos

For Bill's birthday, we ventured into Durham to eat at Mellow Mushroom's new old location at the American Tobacco complex.  This redevelopment was not open (or just about to) when I was in grad school, and I have not had a chance to see it yet.  It is very cool and well done. C loved the water (that rock below needs a no trespassing sign so the security guard won't pounce).
The pizza was yummy and daddy's birthday was celebrated back in his tiny rental with 2, once beautiful-looking cupcakes from Whole Foods.  Carrot cake for birthday boy and chocolate with peanut butter frosting for C and me to share.  C's excitement over the cupcakes lead to an "accident" with the cupcakes rolling out of the box onto the floor due to over-exorbitant toddler dancing while holding said box.  The 5 second rule was in effect and my cat like reflexes got them off in about 2.5 seconds.
They were delicious anyway and birthday boy was happy (and C too).

My office is in American Tobacco! Fun live music series in the summer. Yet, another reason to move to DURHAM.
