The Good Stuff

Two firsts with Carter that reminded me how much fun and cool it is to be a parent.  And a third one that reminded what a good boy my growing boy can be.  I tend to share more of the solo parenting travails these days, so I thought that I would share some positive (and O's sleep is getting marginally better, so that helps):

1. I taught him how to dunk a cookie into milk - "yum!" - last night.

2.  After a growing interest in baseball (Cousin Matthew is playing blastball), my lil lefty attempted to use cousin's righty glove this weekend to my dismay.  We bought a tiny little Rawlins glove and more wiffle balls for his 2 different baseball tees from Dr. Eric and Grandpa.  Southpaws unite!  I am so excited to coach/teach tee-ball one day (and find a co-ed rec team in NC for me too).

3. After a scolding for letting Owen access and dump over his snack of goldfish and apple slices, C automatically raised his bowl higher than Owen's reach while watching some Buzz Lightyear this afternoon.  It was like groundhog day whenever O got near his chair.

He soon abandoned TV show to play and wrestle with bro...

I love the last pic - the giggles and smiles ended happily for all (ya, know, versus the unhappy trapped baby that I mentioned yesterday)...
