As Mrs. Schwangston mentioned, I attended our 2nd Annual Boys Trip last weekend. Reed was the gracious host in his town "the A" formerly known as the "ATL". A few highlights of the trip:
Canoeing aka "Shooting the Hooch": Reed, Mark, Pace, Gracie (Reed's faithful pooch),
and I spent about 10 minutes paddling on the water, before Reed thought it might be a good idea to let Grace stretch her legs on a sandbar. We spent the next 45minutes trying to corner her on a strip of sand about 10ft x 30ft. Gracie had a blast, the rest of us not so much. This should have foreshadowed that Gracie was going to be trouble for us this week, only Patrick didn't know it yet (she allegedly bit him, and that is all I can say with the pending legal action).
Gaming: Reed purchased a pool table and was anxiously waiting to show off his new pool skills,
but Steve trumped Reed's pool table with a Nintendo "Wii".
A large portion of time was spent playing Guitar Hero (PWade was a natural) and the various sports games. Reed's pool table felt like last year's Christmas presents as it got very little notice from the group as a whole.
Fireworks: We decided to keep it local and purchase fireworks to shoot from the house. We invested $50 worth in a "family pack" and set them off in the street. As you can see in the picture, we were significantly outgunned by the rest of the neighbors (those were shot from a few houses away). Our fireworks were embarrassingly safe and barely soared more than 6-7 feet, while the questionably sober neighbors were launching missiles (purchased in AL) above our heads.
Thanks for reading...

I can't believe it! I was at the same Braves game!!
I went to ATL to hang out with Brandt & his family for the weekend--we ran the Peachtree, went to a family 4th of July party where our "firecracker cake" (made of brownies with a hint of cayenne pepper and iced to look just like a firecracker) lost the dessert competition, and then the Braves game on Sunday for a few innings before we had to drive back to Nashville. Sorry I missed you!
Great post, Bill. Can I suggest a caption for Gracie's pic: "Gracie gnaws on a stick while dreaming of Patrick's leg."
Oh, I really hope Reed doesn't make any blog posts in the near future!!! I need to see those pics.

I would love to see the picts of Reed dancing!! Sounds like you had a great time, I can't believe you let someone school you on your fire works display...we went nuts here and spent way to much, but had a really good time!!!
A few key developments since Bill's post:
1) Under Bill's threat - I quickly added new post to Jockey Hollow blog
2) Gracie has entered the doggie witness protection program and I can no longer comment on her involvement with friends, neighbors, children, or ex wives.
