I'm not one to brag, but okay, maybe I am. I reclaimed the Schwangston Bowl - came from behind and won by a couple bowls this year. But, I didn't get here without the help from many teams and would like to mention a few here.- Merci Beaucoup to the Vanderbilt Commodores for their upset and keeping me in the mix when Schwie was leading 12-9.
- Danke Schön Longhorns. Despite having the biggest Texas cliched name for your QB, you played the last two minutes of the game even though you didn't have much to play for.
- Gracias Big Ten. All I have to do is pick your opponent in your bowl, and you lie down like a wounded animal(accounted for 5 bowl wins for me!).
- No Grazie for Bama. The Tide proved to me that they and their double named QB were playing above their heads much of the year. Shame on me for my SEC bias in picking the team that I loathe the most.
- Xie Xie SEC. Another strong showing (6-2) in a "down" year, and another national championship to, ugh, the Gators (Erin's least fav). This continues to prove that National Champions are crowned in Atlanta on the first Saturday in December (SEC still undefeated in BCS title games - 5 wins in 10 years). It just seems to take one more game for the rest of the country to figure it out.
Here's to hoping that I can pick my VOLS in a decent bowl next year...or rather just a bowl period. I need to cut this short b/c my fingers are cramping now from the typing, so its a good thing I have a weekly 10 minute massage coming my way.
