Everything but the bathroom sink

Not sure if you have experienced or heard of the "witching hour" for little babies.  Basically, it is usually in the evening when none of the usual tricks work to soothe the kiddo and said kiddo cries and fusses til the parents think that it will never end. There are several posts (and another) by AskMoxie, one of my favorite online parenting links from the first time around with Carter. I desparately looked it up last night at 11.23 and promptly emailed it to sleeping Bill to let him know that we are not alone.

Yep, we are in the throes of the witching hour hours with little Owen.  Tonight, we tried everything: walking around the house; nursing him; rocking him in our arms, his rocker, and in the rocking chair; little bounces and jiggles; laid him on the couch, his bed, our bed, in the boppy; nursing again; changed his diaper and clothes; put him in his bouncy seat with the vibrations on and off; put him in his car seat on top of the dryer; held him up right, across my knees, cradled him football style, over the shoulder, every which way but upside down; one more nursing attempt.

During Bill's turn, Owen suddenly got very quiet.  I walked into our bedroom from the den to discover Bill's magic trick. Apparently, Bill wanted to brush his teeth and none of the above mentioned spots did the trick.  However, our double bathroom sink (it's the clean one at least) did the trick tonight...

Readers, can you share any other strategies with us?  We are open to (almost) anything...

He does look cute in the sink. Not sure about any tips. You know how Sawyer felt about his swing, he'd stay in there for the whole night, 8 hours straight when he was 10 weeks! Getting him out of it and into a bed was a little touchy though!
