Happy Easter!

We hope that you enjoyed your Easter Sunday in church and in the company of loved ones.  Just last year ago, Carter was baptized at the Easter vigil, and we had all kinds of family in town.

This year, it's a bit quieter around the homestead.  We are brunching shortly with the doctor neighbors. Diligent godparents Aunt Kristen and Doc Ryan sent C this too cute and oft complimented Easter outfit - with a matching hat, short overalls, and polo.  He did wear his cool kid Vans to bring down the cutesy factor.  We had another egg hunt at church, inside the classrooms since there was a hail and rainstorm this morning.  

This Easter, we are especially thankful for our new church, Trinity Episcopal, and its welcoming community that we joined a few weeks ago.  It reminds me a lot of our old church, St. Patrick's Mission, near Charlotte.

P.S. We successfully made to today with our Lenten promises intact.  I can't wait to order my grande skinny vanilla later, no whip please, from Starbucks today!  Bill is less anxious but excited none the less about getting to eat ice cream again.
